WW-FAQ > Helpful info to make your trip more enjoyable > What else do you see on a trip?

A lot. The waters and coastline near Victoria BC are remarkably rich due to cold, clean water and strong tidal currents that keep bio-mass swirling through all layers of the water column. Harbour seals are plentiful as are bald eagles, Stellar's and California sea lions, harbour porpoise, Dall’s porpoise, common murres, oyster catchers, cormorants and sea ducks. There is also some spectacular scenery composed of glaciated mountain ranges, temprate rain forests and lonely uninhabited islands. We focus on the whales, and orca when available, but your guide will want to share as much as is possible with you and help you to undertand how the different parts of our magnificent ecoystem are interwoven.
